Quinta da Vida means 'rural living', and sums up well the atmosphere and character of this beautiful region. The large garden and rural surroundings offer our guests peace and freedom to enjoy themselves. The Quinta is located in the eastern Algarve, close to Moncarapacho (5km), a small town half an hour's drive from Faro airport.
The Quinta houses five holiday homes. The beautiful old building has been converted to retain as many of its original features as possible, whilst incorporating all the facilities expected of a modern holiday home. The thick natural stone walls that keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter, the wooden beams and the natural stone are excellent examples of this. Apart from all the extensive indoor facilities, all holiday homes have a large private terrace, as well as a barbecue, dining table and lounge sofa.
Casa Velha has two bedrooms and one bathroom with separate toilet. Both bedrooms have airconditioning for cooling during summer. During winter there is under floor heating on the ground floor.
On the grounds around the Quinta there is a spacious garden with beautiful old trees and a communal swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrella's. You can make very nice walks/hikes directly from our Quinta. Also for cycling lovers is it a great area to be!
There is also a ping pong table, volleyball field, many toys and games!
We have two dogs, Bim and Billy, who are very friendly (and good with kids). They walk around freely during the day. We do also have 3 chickens who lay eggs every day, yummy!
There are some very nice villages that are definitely worth a visit. Like: Olhão, Tavira, Fuseta, Faro and Loulé. All have the charm of the authentic Portugese lifestyle; which means fresh fish, delicious fruits, music (festivals), good restaurants, beautiful beaches, the natural park 'Ria Formosa' and many more!
Make a trip to one of the islands and see the endless beaches and ocean views. You can go dolphin spotting, kayaking, kite surf, SUP rental, boat tours, sailing etc. Curious what to do more? Ask Gust and Mayke.
Mayke and Gust are living at the accommodation too, together with their two sons Bob (2020) and Sam (2022). So in case you need any help, tips or information we are always there. Of course we do respect your privacy too. We would be very pleased to welcome you at our Quinta.
Besides that Gust is your host, he is also a PGA golf professional. For golf holidays or just some (introduction) lessons are a possibility too.

Rates explanation
Prices are including all the linen, wifi, use of airconditioning (or under floor heating) and the final cleaning. Prices are excluding tourist tax and use of washing machine (€5,-).
During winterstays the price is based on a stay of 2 people. In case you have family or friends visiting, the extra costs are €15,- p.p.p.n.
During winterstays there is a cleaning every two weeks.
