At Upperud 9:9 you stay in the 100 year-old old silo with solid wooden walls constructed by thick horizontal planks. The five individual rooms are nestled into original exposed structures where you can still find a grain of wheat or rye in the gaps between the planks. French balconies let in the crisp Scandinavian light and stunning views over water in all directions. High ceilings allow for the upstairs lofts where you can rest on comfortable beds in natural materials. Stairs or ladders take you there…. Some rooms have stairs and others have ladders taking you upstairs.

All rooms have four beds, lofts with stairs or ladders, kitchen, WC/bathroom with shower and underfloor heating and free Wifi.

Silo 1 A Light airy room with a view over Upperudshöljen. Lights from the old paper mill across the lake glimmers in the water at night. Tip toe up the gently curved wooden stairs to find four comfortable beds on the spacious loft.

Silo 4  This airy room has light coming in from two directions. Magnificent solid walls remind us of the building’s original purpose as a silo storing the grains of Dalsland before it was shipped out on the canal. The original corner ladder leads to a spacious loft for two. Here you can watch the world go by outside.
