Cape Penguin Cottage is situated in Simon's Town, close to three beaches with safe swimming, smallish waves and no backwash or rip currents. The centre of Simon's Town is 1 km away, and is an interesting historical naval town with restaurants, museums and shops. Cape Penguin Cottage is an ideal place from which to explore Cape Point, Kalk bay or Cape Town.

The cottage is secured around the perimeter and there is off-street parking for one car with space for other cars a little further down the road.

The cottage sleeps 5 adults in 3 bedrooms and a mattress can be put out for an additional child. The main bedroom which is ensuite has a queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a single bed. There are plenty of built-in cupboards in each bedroom. There is a small selection of toys and books for children to enjoy. There is a car booster seat and backpack for carrying a small child.There is a separate family bathroom with a bath and toilet.

Upstairs, an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area leads onto a small wooden deck. There is a lovely sea view from the dining/kitchen area window and deck. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, glass hob and oven and a dishwasher. There is an HD TV with DSTV premium and a DVD player, various books and games and free WiFi. Elsewhere in the cottage is a washing machine, ironing board, iron and a hairdryer.

There is a flight of 12 stairs with a child safety gate at the top.

Outside there is a braai/barbeque area, which is nicely sheltered on windy days, a small herb garden and an outdoor shower.

In town you can book to go diving or snorkelling, kayaking, whale watching and shark cage diving etc.The penguin viewing site and 9-hole golf course are close by.
