A warm welcome to 1738 meters at our Gjaid Alm. We are a different alpine hut, where you can spend the night, rest or relax. You can attend seminars, organize your own, celebrate your wedding or celebrate your wedding.  

The Gjaid Alm is a very special mountain hut on 1738 meters at the foot of the roof. As a restaurant and overnight place, it offers peace from the often hectic life in the city. A time to relax, recharge your batteries, laugh, enjoy life and our wonderful nature. A place where one's heart rises and one feels wonderful itself. An alpine pasture where many unknown people from all over the world help and return home as friends. We look forward to you. You are very welcome here!

Gjaid Alm is set 1,740 m above sea level, and offers rustic rooms with free WiFi and a restaurant. A sauna can be used against a surcharge.

Room

In 2013 we renovated all the rooms. The rooms are equipped with simple wooden beds and all have a real hut character. The Gjaid Alm has various camps, multi-bed rooms, twin rooms and who likes to sleep alone, of course, also the possibility for a single room occupancy.

If you book a camp or a multiple room, please take your sleeping bag with you. We will be happy to give you fresh linen for a surcharge of 5 Euros!

The toilets and showers are simple and clean and were renovated 2012.

Our sauna

Sauna after a strenuous tour or after skiing? We are glad that we can offer you a great huts. Here in winter you can jump out directly into the Schneeberg.

Sun terrace

The south-facing orientation of the alpine pastures gives us all-day sunshine on our terrace. No matter if winter or summer: the sun is always on our side and does our heart and soul well. Liegestühle is of course free!

Attic / meditation room

In our newly renovated attic, the beds are removed for seminars, creating a wonderful quiet space for meditations, exercises and group talks.

Pine Room / seminar room

In 2012 the Zirbenstube was lovingly renovated during the renovation week. An own soothing base stove, a beautiful wooden floor and removable tables make the Zirbenstube also an ideal seminar room or even the nocturnal "dance area" 

The Gjaid Alm is only reachable by cable car or in a 4-hour walk from Obertraun. It is not possible to reach the Alm by car. During summer guests can hike in the immediate vicinity. Lake Hallstatt can be reached within 8.7 km. Upon request, Gjaid Alm can transfer baggage from the cable car station to the Alm.
