This holiday cottage is in the small hillside village of Bocado near Arganil in Central Portugal and has fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. The self catering accommodation sleeps 6 and is a stone built cottage with 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and terrace with BBQ. There is also a sofa bed in the living room for a 7th person.
The river beach at Folques is approx. 2 km away and the main distruct town of Arganil is 7 km.
This pretty self catering holiday cottage has fantastic views and underwent complete renovation in 2011 to provide comfortable self catering accomodation whilst keeping many of the traditional features of the building including some natural stone walls and a vaulted wood ceiling in the living room.The pretty holiday cottage has a living room with lovely views down the valley. There is a TV, CD/DVD player, books and games, comfortable seating for 6 people including a sofa bed. A wood burner has been installed for the cooler winter months. Wi-fi internet acess is also available.
The kitchen has everything that you need for a self catering holiday with a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots and pans. There is a dining table and seats for 6 people.
There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 with double beds and built in wardrobes and a small twin bedroom with 2 single beds.
The bathroom has a shower, toilet, bidet and wash basin.
Outside there is a large terrace with great views. There is outside furniture for dining in the fresh air, 4 sun loungers and a BBQ. In the outside store house there is a washing machine.

This area of Central Portugal is reminiscent of the Lake District or the Scottish Highlands with sun! There are green mountains with small whitewashed villages and pretty market towns and wide rivers flowing into the man made lakes that are the water reservoirs for the area. There are lots of River Beaches in the area where you can swim or relax by the water, some are popular and others are more secluded try discovering one all to yourself, not impossible!

Notes: Rates are based on 6 guests; A discount is available for less than 6 people depending on the season. A deposit of 20% is required with the balance due 2 to 4 weeks before arrival depending on the season. There is an extra charge of €25 for a 7th person to cover the extra bed linen and towels.
