We have been looking for a refuge in the middle of nature for a long time, which would allow us to regain strength and balance, and which would help us to compensate for the wear and tear of a particularly demanding professional life, where stress and meeting deadlines and objectives are the motto that defines our days, a situation now aggravated by the current pandemic situation.

After searching for a long time, we found a place that we were completely unfamiliar with, the small village of Espiunca, on the border between the municipalities of Arouca and Castelo de Paiva, a small paradise, which we realized almost immediately, was the ideal place to welcome us and help us recover our energy.

Located just 1 hour away from Porto and 2h30 from Lisbon, and with excellent road access and multiple alternative access routes, the house that we have come to call Casa da Cavada, because of the location, is an isolated building on a hillside, with a direct view of the Paiva River, considered one of the clearest in Europe.

In addition, the House is located  about 300 meters on foot from the beginning / end of the " Passadiços dos Paiva ", elected in 2020 and for the third consecutive year, as " Best Adventure Tourism Attraction in Europe ".
